- All proceeds raised will be used for future Garden Club events – bus trips, entry fees, subsidising social events etc.
OUR GOLDEN RULES
- Please do not ask or take plants, seeds etc from the gardens that we might visit – we may wish to visit them again.
- It is nice to know who we are talking to, so please wear your name tag.
- If you win the raffle, it will be your turn to supply the raffle prize for the next month. Not more than $10.00 or something potted up from your garden.
FLOWER COMPETITION CATEGORIES
Large bloom: over 4 inches Spike
Medium bloom: 2-4 inches Foliage Cluster
Small bloom: 1-2 inches Flowering climbers
Mini bloom: under 1 inch Flowering succulent
Rare or noteworthy specimen
(Limit two entries per class to be of different varieties
eg: Rose or dahlia)
CLARIFICATION OF CLASSES
Spike: On one main stem:
eg: red hot poker/gladioli/delphinium
Cluster: On one main stem:
eg: hydrangea/chrysanthemum/agapanthus
Flowering Shrub:
On one main stem, two or more heads of flowers:
eg: camellia/fuchsia/hebe.
